With the initial worldwide launch of Cyber Sleuth and its DLC, Hacker's Memory, back in 2015, this game entered as the fifth addition to the Digimon Story series, and the first of said series to be released in North America. It acted as a revitalization for the franchise, with all of the memorable Digimon from the original 1999 anime and 2-bit games brought back to life in glorious HD. It was an event that brought many flocking back to this franchise, and, with a roster of over 300 Digimon, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition has a lot to offer.

However, this does pose a problem. With enough Digimon to make a Pokemon game jealous comes the problem of knowing which Digimon to train. While each individual Digimon does have its own perks and uses, some stand out above the others due to their abilities, stats, and overall utility.
10 PlatinumNumemon
This final form for Numemon, at first glance, appears to be rather lackluster when compared to some of the other Mega-level Digimon in the game. While it does have a decently high Defense state, the rest of its abilities are sorely lacking, to say the least. However, while it's not the most combat-inclined Digimon in the game, it does have a very interesting and useful ability.
PlatinumNumemon, despite its lackluster ability spread, possesses the support skill Platinum Bonus, a skill that significantly increases the amount of EXP gained after a battle. This ability can cut down on hours' worth of grinding. Add in three Tactician USBs, and PlatinumNumemon will be earning your team heaps of EXP. Just make sure that it's in the first position.
9 Sakuyamon
While this Digimon has a rather low Health, Attack, and Defense score, it more than makes up for it with its above-average Speed and Intelligence, the stat attributed to both Magic attack and defense. It also has access to a wide array of powerful light-based moves and a powerful healing technique. However, this Digimon's true draw is its signature move.
Amethyst Mandala, while not the strongest move with its 70 base power, does hit all foes and erases all of the opponents' stat boosts. For those enemies that can act quickly and increase their Attack, Defense, Intelligence, or even Speed, this move can wipe all of those increases away and makes that enemy's turn a waste.
8 MarineAngemon
In every RPG, having a support-based character is essential to a party's success. It's practically the law at this point and, in Cyber Sleuth, this is no different. There are plenty of healers in the game, but the best Digimon to support any budding Tamer is MarineAngemon.

This Mega-level, water attribute Digimon, with its large SP pool, is capable of spamming high SP-cost moves with ease — but that's not all. MarineAngemon's signature more, Ocean's Love, heals battle damage and removes all abnormal status. Poison, Paralysis, the dreaded Dot status — all of those are wiped off the board and, with its large SP, MarineAngemon can keep its comrades up and fighting.
7 UlforceVeedramon
As one of the Digital World's Royal Knights, it would make sense that UlforceVeedramon would be one of the stronger Digimon in the game, and Cyber Sleuth does not disappoint. The pinnacle of the Veedramon line is, all around, a strong Digimon with decent Attack, Health, and amazing Speed. While its Defense and Intelligence are less than stellar, it more than makes up for this with its Support Ability, Swiftness, which allows its team to move first every time at the start of the battle as long as it's in the starting line-up.

If this wasn't enticing enough, UlforceVeedramon also has two signature moves: Victory Sword, which does two swift attacks, and The Ray of Victory. The latter of those two moves does 100 base damage, hits all enemies, and has the added benefit of never missing. In a game where every shred of damage counts, a strong move that never misses is a godsend.
6 Gallantmon CM
Gallantmon CM, or Gallantmon Crimson Mode, is the Ultra-level form of the Royal Knights sole virus type. Like the other Ultra-level Digimon, Gallantmon CM's stats skyrocket all around, especially its SP and Attack stats. This alone makes this Digimon a formidable adversary, but its signature move brings Gallantmon CM to an entirely different level.
Quo Vadis is a physical light-attributed, single target, defense piercing attack that has a 10% chance to instantly kill an enemy. While that is a rather low percentage, just the chance of being able to fell a powerful enemy in a single turn is too good of an opportunity to miss.
5 Chaosmon
Many turn away from Digimon that are achieved through fusion as it requires the separate training of two separate Digimon. This is especially true for those Digimon that require two Mega-level Digimon to fuse. The task of training two already powerful Digimon may be daunting, but, should BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon be readily on hand, Chaosmon is definitely worth the investment.
With its ridiculously high Attack power — the highest in the entire game — and high speed, Chaosmon is a monster on the battlefield. This powerful Digimon also has the perfect Support Ability that, while increasing the amount of damage received, gains a boost to the amount of damage it inflicts on the enemy. It even gains access to an Intelligence-based attack that pierces through a target's Defense. This Digimon is all about dealing massive amounts of damage with little concern for its own wellbeing.
4 Belphmon RM
Much like Chaosmon, Belphmon RM (or Belphmon Rage Mode) is made to be an offensive monster. While its attack stat isn't quite as high as the aforementioned Chaosmon, Belphmon RM has the Defense and Health to take hits and deal them back with interest.

While it is a powerful all-around Digimon, Belphmon RM has one more trick up its sleeve. Gift of Darkness, Belphmon RM's signature move, is a Defense piercing attack that can deal massive amounts of damage to a singular opponent. This means that that already monstrous Attack stat just became even more terrifying.
3 Imperialdramon PM
Also known as Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, this Digimon is the final form of Imperialdramon and is said to descend upon the Digital World and protect it during times of strife. Lore aside, out of even the Ultra-level Digimon, Imperialdramon PM has some of the more well-rounded stats in the game with especially high Attack and Health.
Along with its admirable stat pool, Imperialdramon PM possesses a very unique move. Omni Sword, a technique that seems more fitting for the Digimon Omnimon, has a massive base power of 150. On top of all that, it has a 30% chance of inflicting the Dot status. With an enemy unable to use any skills, they become little more than sitting ducks.
2 Apocalymon
As the final antagonist of the original Digimon anime, this Digmon had to be powerful. Digivolved from any of the four Dark Masters, Piedmon, Puppetmon, Machinedramon, or MetalSeadramon, this neutral type Digimon is as terrifying as it looks. It has the highest base HP in the entire game and high INT and Speed to go along with it. While it's not exactly the bulkiest Digimon out there, its signature move, Darkness Zone, does a fixed 444 damage to all enemies.

Along with all of this, it possesses the support ability Revelation, an ability that increases the damage done by neutral-based attacks while decreasing all other types for all Digimon. If paired with the right Digimon, you can be doing a serious amount of damage to all enemies.
1 Arcadiamon Ultra
As one of the major antagonists featured in Hacker's Memory, the DLC to Cyber Sleuth, it's understandable why this Digimon is as powerful as it is. Its stats are incredibly well rounded, especially its Attack stat, and it has access to a move that is arguably the best in the game.
God's Matrix hits all enemies with a powerful Neutral-attributed attack that cuts through enemy Defense while simultaneously healing Arcadiamon Ultra's by 10% of the damage that its attack dealt. Pair this with Apocalymon's Support Ability, along with a strong healer like MarineAngemon, and it's unstoppable.
